OnePlus Watch 3 Mini Leak Hints at Sleeker, Smaller Wearable on the Way

A compact OnePlus Watch 3 Mini could be launching soon—and it might just be a rebranded OPPO Watch X2 Mini.

Last month, OnePlus unveiled its latest wearable, the Watch 3. While it packed serious hardware, it also packed some heft. Dr. Leo Zhang, head of the OnePlus Health Lab, acknowledged the size issue for smaller wrists and confirmed that a solution was on the horizon.

Now, tipster Abhishek Yadav claims the upcoming OnePlus smartwatch will sport a smaller 43mm dial, down from the Watch 3’s 47mm. It’s also said to feature an 18mm strap, making it a better fit for those who prefer lighter, more discreet wearables.

The OnePlus Watch 3 is essentially a rebranded OPPO Watch X2. So, it’s no surprise that the rumored Watch 3 Mini could be based on the OPPO Watch X2 Mini, which has already been teased in China. A recent Weibo post showed off a gold-accented version with a sleek round dial and chamfered edges, described as “pure and shining.”

Despite its smaller form factor, the Mini is expected to retain excellent battery life. That’s thanks to the dual-processor architecture already seen in previous models, paired with Wear OS 5. A smaller display also means reduced power consumption—so longevity shouldn’t be a concern.

While we don’t have a firm release date, rumors suggest the OnePlus Watch 3 Mini will launch shortly after the OPPO Watch X2 Mini’s debut. The global rollout may begin with India, followed by other markets.

If you’ve been holding out for a more compact OnePlus smartwatch, your wait may soon be over.
