Here are Acer’s Upcoming Android Phones

Just recently, it was discovered that Acer will be unveiling new smartphones for buyers in India, marking a comeback of sorts for the Taiwanese PC brand within the Android smartphone industry. Launching under the “Acerpure” branding, the two handsets come with modest specs, so folks expecting flagship-grade devices might be disappointed.

First up is the Acerone Liquid S162E4, which comes with a 6.5-inch LCD display with an HD+ resolution, MediaTek’s Helio P35 chipset, as well as 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which is expandable via micro SD card. The phone is powered by a 5,000 mAh battery, and comes with a 16MP main camera, a 5MP front camera, with Android 14 inside.

There’s also the Acerone Liquid S272E4, MediaTek’s Helio G36 chip, a 20MP main and 5MP front camera, and a 6.7-inch display with an HD resolution. Other features include a 5,000 mAh battery, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, as well as Android 14. As with the other phone, users can also opt to add a microSD card for a bit of added storage.

Given the rather low-end feature of the phones, Acer would really have to price these competitively should they want to compete in an affordable phone market already dominated by the likes of Xiaomi and Samsung.
