YouTube Reportedly Planning on Bringing Back its Premium Lite Plan

As far as streaming platform subscriptions go, YouTube Premium is often ranked by some as being among the most bang-for-your-buck subscription plans out there, although it’s not exactly among the cheapest. As such, it’s now reported that YouTube might bring back its “Premium Lite” plan, which should be a more wallet-friendly alternative.

With that said, there’s no word yet on when YouTube Premium Lite will make its way to users, although it’s expected within the year; there’s no news either on how much it might cost this time around. The service will initially be available for users in the United States, Australia, Germany and Thailand, presumably with more regions to follow.

YouTube Premium Lite was originally launched back in 2021 for less than ten bucks per month, with features including background playback and offline downloads.
