Samsung is working on a display with 4 curved edges

Samsung has been pushing curved displays for a couple of years now, but they’ve only been able to do two edges. A new report claims two isn’t good enough for Samsung. They want to make a display with curved edges on all four sides.

This report comes from ETNews, which says Samsung and LG are both looking for ways to create truly bezel-less displays. The Samsung Galaxy S8 and LG G6 are nearly bezel-less, but both have bezels on the top and bottom. Curved display on four sides would be truly bezel-less. However, there are some problems that come with it.

A curved display on all four sides would leave the corners virtually useless. The current lamination process would make the corners unable to register a touch. This is the major problem Samsung will have to figure out in order to make it work. But would you even want a display with four curved edges? Is a truly bezel-less phone a good idea?
